Cheryl Zabala is a Managing Director in Legal and Compliance at Pretium and the firm's Chief Compliance Officer. Prior to joining Pretium in 2021, Cheryl was Deputy Chief Compliance Officer & Regulatory Counsel at MSD Partners, a SEC-registered investment adviser focused on credit, private capital, and real estate, and provided regulatory advice to Michael Dell’s family office, MSD Capital. Previously, Cheryl was Chief Compliance Officer for Emerging Sovereign Group, an emerging markets investment manager owned by The Carlyle Group, and prior to that, was a Compliance Officer at Fortress Investment Group. Cheryl received a Bachelor's in Finance from the George Washington University, where she was a Presidential Scholar, and a JD from Brooklyn Law School.
