Ted Huffman

Strategic Development

Ted Huffman is a Senior Managing Director and Head of Strategic Development at Pretium, where he has overall responsibility for leading the Firm’s corporate strategy, including strategic acquisitions, dispositions, alliances, and partnerships. Since joining Pretium, Mr. Huffman has led strategic equity investments in Pretium and has overseen the acquisition and integration of Valcour Capital Management, Selene Finance, Deephaven Mortgage, Anchor Loans, and Front Yard Residential (NYSE: RESI).

Prior to joining Pretium in 2014, Mr. Huffman led financial institution originations for Lone Star U.S. Acquisitions, LLC. Prior to Lone Star, Mr. Huffman spent 12 years at Bear, Stearns & Co, where he began his career in the leveraged finance group before leading strategic corporate finance transactions for financial institutions as a Senior Managing Director. Mr. Huffman served in the United States Navy as a Surface Warfare Officer, completing deployments to the Middle East, Africa and Central/South America.

Mr. Huffman is a member of the Firm’s Executive Committee. He received a BA from Georgetown University and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
