Our Commitment

Promoting an inclusive work environment can improve employee engagement and better decision-making, ultimately leading to improved financial performance.

An inclusive work environment is open to and values different perspectives and experiences and encourages greater engagement, innovation, and excellence in the workplace. We believe an inclusive work environment promotes better decision-making and employee satisfaction and retention, thereby generating stronger Firm performance. We believe these driving principles make us a better Firm, one able to deliver greater value to our clients and stakeholders, while mitigating risk.

We do this by:

  • Maintaining workforce policies that abide by all legal requirements, including but not limited to applicable federal, state, and local anti-discrimination law, as well as promote respect, excellence, inclusivity, the highest ethical and professional standards, outstanding corporate citizenship in our communities, and superior value to our clients
  • Educating ourselves regularly and engaging on any material topic that impacts our business, our stakeholders, and/or our communities by:
    • Establishing internal committees and working groups that create forums to promote discussion and engagement.
    • Engaging with community organizations and stakeholders at the local, state, and federal levels to develop community-centered solutions and partnerships.
  • Hiring our workforce from the communities in which we operate to build a resilient talent pool and maintaining an expansive and high-quality network of partners, consultants, suppliers, vendors, and third-party professionals who support the Firm’s success and growth.
  • Disclosing, reviewing, and improving on these engagement strategies year over year with a focus on performance outcomes.
  • Embracing a leadership role in our industry and our communities in promoting a positive culture reflective of our values.
“Pretium’s Women’s Resource Group endeavors to connect women from different departments and seniority levels to increase exposure and foster strong relationships within the firm. We want the women at Pretium to know there is a strong support system backing them and ensuring their success.”

Interview Best Practices

We’ve launched training on best practices to expand our abilities to recognize potential for contribution and remove unconscious bias.

Networking Support

Pretium leadership participates in networking, professional groups, and conferences that promote traditionally underrepresented groups, including TIDE, KAYO and AAAIM.
